Another atmospheric river will bring more rain to the Pacific Northwest later this week, heightening an extensive flood threat.
Another Atmospheric River is forecast to pound the Pacific Northwest with several inches of rain on Monday and Tuesday just after a short break in the rain.
Flooding rains and lingering storm impacts come as the atmospheric river that hit the Pacific Northwest this week will make another visit to the region next week.
The National Water Center said that "considerable" flooding impacts are expected across the Cascade Foothills to Puget Sound, with urban and minor river flooding also possible throughout the remainder of western Washington and parts of northern Oregon. It also warned that landslides would be possible along the Cascade Foothills.
