Newly-crowned Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris has backed Lewis Hamilton to return to form in 2026 after the seven-time world champion experienced a difficult first year as a Ferrari driver.
Rob Dodds, who coached Norris in karting at BKC Racing when he was seven years old, said he had seen an increase in young people interested in the sport since Norris' career took off. "There's a massive influx into karting and motorsport in general, really. Especially because Lando is so personable," he told BBC Radio Somerset.
The McLaren driver finished third place Sunday, enough to clinch his first F1 title. An emotional Norris celebrated with his team and family, saying it "feels amazing."
