Do you know how to measure your horse for the correct length cinch? It is ★VERY IMPORTANT★ to have the correct length cinch for your horse! If your cinch is too long, swelling can result from pressure on the exterior abdominal vein. This is a major vessel carrying blood to the heart and lungs. A correct fitting cinch helps your equine athlete perform their best! #mohaircinch #mohairtack | 5 Star Equine Products

👀Too much pad and too long of cinch can cause a pressure bind in the mid back. 👀The thoracolumbar region of a horse’s spine contains 18 pairs of thoracic spinal nerves and six pairs of lumbar spinal nerves. These nerves carry sensory and motor information to and from the spinal cord. 👁️equal pressure in all parts of your saddle pad and saddle are the best combo . 👁️give your horse the best combo of functional tack paired with good horsemanship for the best ride. 💪Great evening with Dr.Aguel

Wendyjwinn on Instagram: "⚖️ Having balance in your cinch is key to optimal performance . ⚖️Correct Placement: The goal is to have the cinch centered on the horse’s belly and resting in the natural girth groove just behind the elbows. The cinch buckles should sit roughly 3 to 6 inches above the point of the elbow. 📌checking your balance is as important as your cinch . 📌https://www.winnhorses.org/coaching step into 2026 with confidence . 📌Wendy would love to hear from you ⚖️Equal Length: When

When girthing up your horse, it’s crucial to avoid over-tightening. A girth that’s too tight can cause discomfort, bruising, and even restrict movement. 🤯 Key muscles affected include the pectorals (chest), trapezius (neck), serratus ventralis (ribcage), and latissimus dorsi (lower back). Over-tightening can also put excessive pressure on the ribs and intercostal muscles, making it painful for the horse to move freely. Think of it like wearing a belt that’s too tight—it digs into your skin, lim

🗣️What will happen when your cinch is to loose . 🙈A poorly fitted cinch or girth on a horse can cause significant muscle damage, primarily leading to muscle atrophy (muscle wasting) in the back and shoulder areas due to pressure points and pain caused by the incorrect fit, often resulting in discomfort, resistance to being ridden, and altered movement patterns to avoid pain; this is commonly referred to as “cinchiness” or “girth aversion” in horses. 🙈key take aways for all equestrians if you
